The Leyden Group associates have been engaged by a leading specialty chemical company to identify the person who will be responsible for safety assessment and regulatory compliance pertaining to personal care product ingredients.
The person hired for this position will conduct toxicologic assessments of new and existing ingredients, prepare SDS’s and related product safety documents, and contribute to ensure that the company’s products are compliant with global inventory requirements (TSCA, MoCRA and Europe/Asia equivalent standards. They will also advise R&D colleagues on the safety and approvability of new ingredients.
The company is, ideally, seeking a person with a toxicology or adjacent degree and proven experience in chemical safety assessment. Specific experience with personal care ingredients and formulations is preferred.
The person hired will work for a VP of R&D and, preferrably work from the company’s headquarters in Philadelphia.
