The Leyden Group has been engaged by a very successful, health sciences consulting firm to identify an early career toxicology and/or risk assessment scientist for the growth of their company. Basic qualifications would include a PhD in Toxicology, or a related health science, and from 0-3 years of experience. A person with research and/or applied experience in exposure/risk assessment, quantitative methods, public health etc., would be best qualified for this role. The position is less viable for an experimental laboratory minded scientist.
The people hired for these roles will work collaboratively with other health and environmental scientists to assess toxicologic effects of chemicals/materials. The work is often associated with emergency response matters in the chemical, petroleum, shipping, maritime and other sectors. The company also provides chemical product safety assessment and litigation support for cases involving alleged exposures to potentially toxic compounds.
The positions will work from their headquarters in the South. The roles are not initially remote supported. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
